Daily double...

60th out of 1300 last night. Getting closer and closer.... To a big cash in this game. I am consistently cashing in this. Another 2010 goal: take this bad boy down for over 2k !!

March 2010 poker results reflection

As of March 20th, my poker goals are looking decent so far for the year. I've played over 150 games, as tracked on OPR. Second, I have some success in tourneys on UB... Profit estimated at about $650 ! The reason for this is the smaller fields of players, for one reason. I much prefer fields of 100-250 players, as opposed to 1 to 2k players in games on FTP and stars. The smaller fields have prizes less than the gigantic MTT games, but they are good for a smaller bankroll and show success faster due to smaller variance. I am just not that interested in having to get into many confrontations for my tournanment life in order to hit a big win. It is soo frustrating! For example, I was deep in the daily double on FTP recently and got aces in on a flop after getting a nicely built pot preflop. The guy has QQ, we both have the overpair. He gets a runner runner straight to crack and bust me. Thank you tournament gods!

Also, having a smaller field just changes my mindset in that I can see the money, and can see a deep run possibly in my given game sooner. I don't get bored as easily and the motivation levels are definately higher than sitting in a huge 2k field having no clue whether I will spend my whole evening for 10 bucks or for a nice 500 plus dollars.

For these reasons I am playing sngs on FTP and small field gaurantee mtt games on UB lately. One monitor for each site! Last night was 4 ub games and 6 FTP games. Profited about 50-60 bucks in 2-2.5 hours. Not a bad session! More hopefully confined success, and perhaps a brag about FTP MIdnight madness or Daily Double win coming soon (I do love these big games, contrary to the above... They are so soft!!)
